Terms of Service

Last updated 22 July 2026

These are the terms you agree to when you use La7zetna to create or order a book. Plain language on purpose — if a clause is unclear, ask us and we will explain it rather than hide behind it.

The parts people are most often surprised by: a personalized book is made for you alone, so it cannot be returned once it has gone to print — but you can cancel for a full refund any time before that. Payment for printed books is cash on delivery. And a printed book does not come with a digital copy.

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and La7zetna (sole trader, Lebanon) (“La7zetna”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or placing an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not order.

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order.

2. What we sell

A personalized illustrated book: you design cartoon characters, choose pages, write your own words, and we print and deliver a physical copy.

Printed books only, for now. A digital-download version is planned but is not currently on sale. A printed book does not include a digital file of its contents.

Previews on screen are watermarked and shown at low resolution. That is deliberate: the book is the product.

3. Orders, prices and payment

  • Prices are shown at checkout before you confirm. They include applicable taxes.
  • Printed books are paid cash on delivery — you pay the courier when the book arrives.
  • An order is accepted when we confirm it. If we cannot fulfil an order — for example a technical fault, an obvious pricing error, or content we cannot lawfully print — we will tell you and you will owe nothing.
  • We may refuse or cancel an order that breaches the content rules in section 5.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver within Lebanon. Printed books usually arrive within 7–14 days of confirmation, but that is an estimate and not a guarantee — printing and courier schedules are outside our control.

Please check your address and phone number carefully. A delivery that fails because the details were wrong or nobody was reachable may need to be rearranged at your cost.

5. Your content, and what you may not put in a book

The words you write stay yours. You keep ownership of the names, messages and personal details you enter. You give us only the permission we need to make your book: to store it, render it, print it, and deliver it to you.

You confirm that your content:

  • is yours to use, and does not infringe anyone else’s rights;
  • does not identify or depict another person in a way they have not agreed to — a book about someone else is a lovely gift, but harassment dressed as one is not;
  • is not unlawful, hateful, defamatory, threatening, or sexual content involving anyone under 18;
  • does not impersonate anyone.

We do not routinely read the contents of your book. We may look at a specific book if we have to — a technical fault, a payment dispute, or a credible report of abuse — and we may refuse to print anything that breaks these rules.

6. Artwork and intellectual property

When you receive your book, you may keep it, read it, gift it and photograph it freely — a personal, non-commercial licence to the finished copy you bought.

You may not resell copies of it, extract the illustrations for other uses, or use them commercially. The illustrations, page designs and software used to make the book are licensed for use inside La7zetna only and remain the property of their respective rights holders. Nothing on this site transfers ownership of any artwork to you.

If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, email elroumimarc@gmail.com with the details and we will look at it promptly.

7. Cancellation, refunds and faults

Before printing: cancel for any reason and pay nothing. Because printed books are cash on delivery, cancelling before the book goes to print costs you nothing at all — just email us.

After printing: a personalized book carries your names and your words and cannot be resold or restocked, so it cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind. This is the standard exception for custom-made goods.

If the book is faulty or wrong, that is different and we will fix it: if it arrives damaged, misprinted, or not matching what you approved, contact us within 14 days of delivery with a photo and we will reprint it or refund it. Faults are on us.

Colours on a printed page never match a backlit screen exactly, and small variations in trim and binding are normal for printed books. These are not defects.

8. Use of artificial intelligence

We think you should know how this is made, so: parts of La7zetna were built with the help of AI tools, including much of the software behind the site. Your book itself is assembled from a fixed catalogue of hand-drawn illustrations and page designs — the pictures are not generated on the fly, and the pages you pick are the pages you get.

Your book’s contents are notused to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.

Automated systems assemble and render your book. They can fail in ways a human would not — which is why you approve a preview before ordering, and why section 7 covers anything that arrives wrong.

9. Service availability

We are a small operation. The site may be unavailable for maintenance, and features may change or be withdrawn. Books you have already ordered will still be delivered.

Drafts you have not saved live only in your own browser. Clearing your browser data will delete them, and we cannot recover them.

10. Liability

We provide the site as it is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example a missed occasion, lost profits, or a gift that did not arrive in time for an anniversary. Delivery dates are estimates, so please order with time to spare for anything date-critical.

Where we are liable, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

11. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can erase your data yourself at any time from Delete my data.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. We will update the date at the top of this page whenever they change.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, and the courts of Lebanonhave jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you may still have the protection of your own country’s mandatory consumer laws.

If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue to apply.

14. Contact

elroumimarc@gmail.com — questions, cancellations, faults and complaints all go to the same place, and reach a human.
